Introduction
This unit was founded with the aim of approving spaces, locations, and architectural plans proposed for the establishment of health centers to comply with relevant by-laws provided by the Ministry, maintaining appropriate workflow in medical facilities, etc. This unit works closely with the Licensing, Supervision and Accreditation Offices.
Major Tasks and Activities
- Visiting places proposed for the establishment of health centers (initial visit) and approving or rejecting proposals according to the standards set forth in the by-laws of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education
- Studying architectural plans of locations approved at the initial visit and approving them if all required criteria are met (anticipating all necessary spaces, using proper architectural dimensions, etc.)
- Visiting places (final visit) and approving the preparation and equipment of centers in accordance with approved plans and submitting cases to the Licensing Office for issuing legal licenses
- Visiting health centers and assessing hospital bed increase requests and submitting cases to the Licensing Office to take appropriate action.
- Evaluating the conditions of all buildings in the accreditation process
